Sultan Latif has extensive international experience across the energy and environmental sectors and a strong reputation for providing commercial, robust and innovative policy and program level advice on complex development programs in developing and emerging markets.
Sultan is an environmental scientist and has worked with several academic institutions and intergovernmental organizations focusing on the water, energy, and climate change nexus. In addition, he is adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University where he teaches in the Energy Policy and Climate graduate program at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.
Sultan is a Partner at OxMA responsible for the Energy and Environment portfolio. Previously, he was an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education fellow at the US Department of Energy, a Science and Policy Advisor for Greenpeace International and a field worker for Doctors Without Borders.
Sultan offers technical support in:
- Developing ADB, World Bank, and USAID operational policies & guideline documents
- Drafting Environmental and Social Management Frameworks (ESMF), Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP), Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRM) and Resettlement Policy Frameworks (RPF)
- Preparation of Country Environmental Profiles (CEP), Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and Initial Environmental Examinations (IEE)

He has a graduate degree in Environmental Science from Harvard University, as well as an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from George Washington University.
